
On October 23, 2025, a special tactical training exercise was conducted at the Fergana Oil Refinery.
The main purpose of the event was to practice the practical actions of the plant’s management and civil defense formations in the event of potential emergencies, as well as to enhance coordination with emergency response services.

During the exercise, the actions of the dispatch service in promptly notifying the relevant authorities were tested, and inspections of the civil defense units’ personnel and special equipment were carried out.
A simulated emergency situation was enacted on the railway overpass a tank car caught fire during the unloading of petroleum products.

In addition, at the first workshop’s HFU unit, participants practiced responding to the aftermath of a simulated earthquake. According to the scenario, strong tremors caused damage to the extraction block a leak of petroleum products occurred at the flange joint, gas concentration increased, and part of the compressor room roof collapsed.
The training involved the plant’s management, civil defense formations, employees of the regional Department for Emergency Situations, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and medical services.

They make it possible to assess the coherence of personnel actions and the readiness of all divisions to respond promptly to potential emergencies”, – emphasized Dilshod Usmanov, Head of the Department for Mobilization Preparedness and Civil Defense.
